1st February 2007 19:00 for 19:30 - Joint event with Bedfordshire Branch
Over 50 Killer Ideas for Delivering Successful Projects - Presented by Richard Morreale
Richard has been called the Red Adair of the Project Management world. Red Adair
was the larger-than-life oilfield fire fighter that people called when they had a
major oilfield fire. Richard is a larger-than-life Project Manager that companies
call when they have large, complex change projects to establish and implement or
when they have major problems with their existing projects.
Richard has been involved with and managed some of the most visible programmes of
work in the last 4 decades. These Programmes include the Apollo Space Programme, the
computerisation of the British Income Tax System, the Y2K Programme for Natwest Bank
Retail Systems and the 3G Programme for Vodafone. In addition, he managed the rescue
and delivery of two extremely late programmes of work for the Home Office.
Richard has spoken at a number of BCS Branch events including the BCS Essex
and Cambridge Branches , the inaugural meeting of the Southampton Branch, the
BCS Project Management Specialist Group, The BCS Configuration Management Specialist
Group, etc. His message was well received at all of these events.
He has said thathe is on a mission to share what he has learned about running successful projects
with as many BCS Branches and specialist groups as possible.
Richard is a highly entertaining, energetic and passionate speaker. Judging from his
feedback so far, you will enjoy listening to him and, one thing is for sure, he
will enjoy presenting it. His Project Management philosophy is described in his recently
released book and CD Programme, Over 50 Killer Ideas for Delivering Successful Projects.
